UPDATE! August 9, 2008 UPDATE!
At the August 13th meeting of the Board of Directors, it was decided to add six additional acre/inches for a full three acre/foot allotment for the 2008 irrigation season.
Due to availability of water and current monsoon weather conditions, the Board is reluctant to release water for an additional flat rate weekend until after the September 10th meeting. There will be an announcement on this website as well as in the paper to let you know if there is an additional flat rate weekend scheduled during the month of September.
The last date to order water will be determined by the Bureau of Reclamation Project water allocation availability.

Special Notice - Special Notice - Special Notice
Due to excessive rainfall throughout the valley, and threat of ensuing hurricanes, small tract
irrigations scheduled for September 13-14 in the north and central areas are being rescheduled for September 20-21.
Likewise, small tract irrigations in the south area which were scheduled for September 20-21 will water on September 27-28.
All dates are subject to change if we should have additional heavy rainfall.

METERING REQUIREMENT – NOTICE OF NON-COMPLIANCE
The Office of the State Engineer is currently inspecting wells for compliance with the well meter order effective March 1, 2006. Metering of all groundwater wells in the District is designed to protect the water rights in the
Lower Rio Grande basin. Wells in non-compliance with the meter order have until June 30, 2008 to be in compliance. Read

Beginning February 19, 2008 and during the 2008 IRRIGATION SEASON, the office will be open to take water orders according to the following schedule:
Monday thru Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Sunday - Closed
