UPDATE! APRIL 9, 2008 UPDATE!
On this date during the EBID Board Meeting, the Board of Directors decided the following:
1.
Increase the water allotment for a total of 30 inches for the irrigation season.
2.
Add an additional two
deliveries to small tract irrigators (see the schedule below).
3.
The water allotment may increase when spring runoff water reaches the Elephant Butte Reservoir.

YEARS OF NEGOTIATION END IN AGREEMENT
Elephant Butte Irrigation District (EBID), El Paso County Water Improvement District No. 1 (EPCWID), and the United States Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) have reached an historic agreement which will finally define the basis for allocating Rio Grande Project Water between the NM and
Texas irrigation districts.
The Operating Agreement resolves issues between the districts dating back to 1979 when the districts were transferred operation and maintenance responsibilities from Reclamation over operations within the respective districts.

DISPATCH / WATER RECORDS OFFICE HOURS
Beginning February 19, 2008 and during the 2008 IRRIGATION SEASON, the office will be open to take water orders according to the following schedule:
Monday thru Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Sunday - Closed
